Subaru Crosstrek vs. Hyundai Kona

The Subaru Crosstrek has a standard 2.0L 4-cylinder SUBARU BOXER® engine that gets up to 152 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque.

The Hyundai Kona is also standardly powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, and it’s not quite as powerful. It can only get up to 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque.

You’ll have total control over your drive with the efficient Lineartronic® CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) in the Crosstrek. Both models have spacious interiors. The Crosstrek offers a bit more room to stretch your legs, though. It features 42.9 inches of legroom up front. The Hyundai is a bit more cramped with only 41.7 inches of front legroom.

While all-wheel drive is available, the Kona sits lower to the ground with a 6.9-inch ground clearance. For greater traction, control, and safety, the Subaru is the better option.
